Brand New Day

A new day offers a fresh perspective, hope, and possibility. New days also bring new demands in our lives and organizations. The added daily pressures lead many to unhealthy patterns that erode our soul and disconnect us from ourselves, others, and even God.

New Day Leadership Consulting guides leaders in the business and in the non-profit sector to develop emotional, relational, and spiritual strength for lasting change.  We focus on increasing capacity to meet the demands of life - personally, relationally, and professionally.  Research shows that building internal strength leads to more fulfillment in life and work.*

With 25 years of experience creating safety and personal growth plans, you are in capable hands to foster you in your process.  We offer 1:1 appointments, personal processing, group experiences, tools, and targeted resourcing to support your internal growth for external results. We want you to build a greater capacity to navigate life's challenges.

“Nothing exposes your need for growth like leadership.”

- John Ortberg

Growth takes place when safety
meets challenge, with support.

Meet Doug …

Hi, I'm Doug and I guide leaders to start, grow, and finish well. With 25+ years of leadership experience, I understand, firsthand, the external and internal pressures of leadership, whether ministry or business. I've collaborated with high-level leaders, contributing to organizational growth from inception to community impact.

I use the skills from my many years of pastoral counseling experience, personal research, and education in leadership development. I support driven leaders to find their personal life rhythm and guide them to address any issues that could hurt the success they’ve built. Whether it’s a trusted confidant, personal counselor, coach or consultant, we work together to strengthen the soul to face any challenges.

In leadership, the higher you go, the lonelier it can be. That's why I believe leaders need a supportive, judgment-free space for sharing frustrations, working in shadow sides, and accumulated hangups. My goal is to be that trusted voice that offers reality based confidence in the future, perspective, encouragement, and challenge to breakthrough limitations.

Together, we will create a wholistic perspective and develop healthier, sustainable rhythms in your life. A process takes time and involves looking at key areas, taking incremental steps, getting regular support, pruning proper things, and enjoying and celebrating in life. Experiencing joy sustains our strength.

“My mission is simple: To empower others toward wholeness emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.”

Pastoring people's hearts is part of my purpose and design. It's an honor and carries its own weight of responsibility. For years, I tried to white-knuckle with little or no support, just me and God. Maybe you've felt that way too. But I've since learned and experienced how we are designed to need others - an interdependence of support. I believe that people are the main delivery agents of how God provides for us.

I'm a lifelong learner and am accountable in my own growth and development. I practice what I share and desire to see good fruit in my own life. I'm excited to pass on what I learn and share life-long development tools my clients.

I want to experience what it means to be loved by God and to love Him back with a whole heart. When I'm not working, I enjoy time with my wife as empty-nesters of three adult children. I'm also an avid musician, enjoy time in outdoor activity, ex-marathoner, and current bird enthusiast. We live in Phoenix, Arizona with our dog, Finn. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
